PHOSPHORUS ALLOYS FOR COPPER AND COPPER ALLOYS
These alloys are only Intended for applications on copper and copper alloys.
They are self-fluxing on red copper and require the use of a flux for copper alloys and to increase the capillary effect for butt-lap joints.
The choice of a given alloy will depend on the desired operating temperatures and on the fluidity requirements. Addition of silver facilitates diffusion. Low phosphorus contents are more suited for wide joints, in particular in the case of branch joints. Using the Gasfluxâ process improves the joint quality.
